Working on Regaining Creativity
I stepped back from working on my painting and my drawing recently. I had already stepped back from decorating bottles and jars. And a host of other crafts I like to do, or used to like to do.
They say that losing interest in things like hobbies, or things you used to do often is a sign of early onset dementia and/or depression.
Gosh I hope not.
I'm so tired all of the time that I find it hard to turn to my hobbies when I get done with chore. All I seem to want to do is sit and watch t.v. or take a nap or eat.
Yeah, it's that last part that is a concern.
No matter the issue it is important to stay on top of the health and to stick to a healthy regimen. So far, I am doing pretty good with that.
I hope that my struggles and talking about them here has helped someone who reads this with their own trials and tribulations as well as being an encouraging note towards making healthy choices.
The older we get, the more important it is to be aware of our health needs.
But mostly the reason for my setback is my vision. It is not what it once was and that makes for an emotional battle every time I sit down to a project as well as a hindrance in doing the work.
Don't let anyone kid you or misinform you about aging. It is a mixed bag. It is fun, it is freeing, it is also tough stuff. You won't last long if you do not keep up the fight.
So -- carry on. Keep me company in the good fight for quality.
Have a fun day. HUGS.
(Stop me here if you've heard this one).
Sometimes I tuck my knees into my chest and lean forward.
That’s just how I roll.
