Well now, I think differently
I am watching a series called Blacklist on Netflix. (I told you I was before). It seems all the characters on the show think that Elizabeth Keen (main female subject) is some sort of beloved angel who can do all kinds of evils, all kinds of wrongs, and all kinds of horror and none of what she does is her fault.
She causes all sorts of bad things to happen, does all sorts of bad things herself, arranges bad things to happen and watches other execute those bad things and has no remorse at all. In fact at one point she says she does not regret anything that she has done. She repeatedly abandons her child.
All of what she does is for her own selfish purposes.
On the other hand, the main male character, Raymond Reddington is touted to be the worst of the worst all during the entire series of episodes.
Everything he has done was for the purpose of protecting Keen, a task he has been at since her birth, one he takes seriously. He robs from the rich, admitting he is a criminal and helps those who need help, the poor, the hopeless, the homeless, etc. A little bit like a modern Robin Hood in some ways.
He does kill people, but only bad people. He does steal but only from rich, bad people.
Anywho, what I am getting at is he does what he does to protect and help Keen and her associates and he does it unselfishly.
She does what she does (Keen) for extremely selfish reasons and she doesn't seem to care who gets hurt as long as she gets answers to her personal questions about herself.
Yet the characters in the show continue to think of her as some sort of Saint while considering Reddington as some sort of Devil incarnate.
It makes me mad at the characters and I cannot wait for Keen to get gutted.
See what I mean? I think differently.
But the show has inspired me. (Most shows do in some way or another). I now want to make a list of my own. It's going to be quite easy to do in the current environment.
I wonder how many people will end up on my own BLACK LIST?
What’s sticky and brown?
A stick.
What is the resemblance between a green apple and a red apple?
T hey’re both red except for the green one.
