Currently Watching....

Well, you are right. I have not posted a review in a long while. Yes of course I am watching shows and yes of course I am watching movies on DVD, and yes of course I am reading.

I just have not posted about that and so I am going to make up for that today.

I am watching shows on Netflix right now, waiting for the fall network shows to start up.

For comedy and laughs I am watching "Leanne". It's funny. I do not like the actress in the lead role of Leanne. I never heard of her or saw her before so I am not familiar with her but I really do not like her whiny nasal voice. I really like the other actors/actresses and the show is funny to me so I will watch it to the end of episodes.

I was watching Talamasca: The Secret Order and I like it even though it's very British because it's about mystery and the supernatural which is my top genre. I said was watching because I watched all the episodes there are on Netflix, so I am moving on to another show. It might be "Stay Close". Not sure yet.

Also watching "Major Crimes". That's a not typical detective show. I mean, it has all the usual elements but it also has some comedy. Again, I don't care for the lead actress at all. I had never heard of her or seen her before this show, so she is new to me and although she seems to be a good actress she is simply not believeable in this role. A soft spoken, high heel wearing, tiny framed woman as a police captain? Yeah, exactly. Not a great fit.

But it's a good show and has a great supporting cast so would I recommend it? Sure.

I am still watching "Black List". I love that show. There is nothing to complaing about in that show. It's well acted, well scripted and of ten surprising in a good entertainment way. So that is highly recommended if you haven't seen it.

In the age of streaming I don't get why I have to watch re-runs from the 60/70s whenever I turn on the TV.
