What am I doing now?

I said I was going to catch you up on what am up to so, here's what I am doing now.
I am reading: a book titled "The Brotherhood of the Tower Rats". It's about a persons' experience in the military and moral dilemmas. What is a dilemma in the military? A situation that requires a choice between options that are or seem equally unfavorable or unsatisfactory. It's interesting and upsetting both at the same time.
As you know I seem to always be reading more than one book at a time, I have the upstairs book and the downstairs book and the magazine in between. But the Tower Rats book is the main reading right now.
I am watching: a series on Netflix called "Virgin River". It's not my usual genre. It's a drama and it's pretty 'soapy'. By that I mean, it's like a soap opera but with better sets and better filming and better acting. The story plots pretty much the same as a soap opera. Dick and Jane run off together, while Sally and her kitty cat mope around the homestead wondering why her cheating boyfriend doesn't love her like she wants to be loved. It couldn't possibly be because she was conning him and was just after his money, could it?
Yeah, not my usual kind of show to watch but I'm entertained by it, and isn't that the point?
Yes, that's the point. (In case you were undecided about that).
I am looking forward to watching an animated movie called Swapped playing on Netflix right now. It's a kids show. But then, you know I love those kids shows.
My Paramount Plus shows are halted for the summer so instead of those I am watching yet another Netflix series called "West Wing". Yes, I know I am coming late to the table on that one. I am loving that series. I didn't think I would like that show, but it turns out I like it a bunch. It's giving me quite the perspective on the whole day to day political business stuff, which like I said I didn't think I would have interest in. It's very well done. If you are like me and have not seen it and didn't think you would want to see it, give it a chance. Watch the entire first episode through before saying no to it. I felt the same way about Breaking Bad. Once I gave that show a second chance I was hooked. It's the same with this one.
I bought a truckload of DVDs and I will be watching those as I go along, one at a time. Very few of them are in my favorite category as it turns out. Most are action movies. Which is okay, just not my favorite genre. I have only watched one of those so far. It's called Acts of Valor. It was an okay movie, but it's not one that I would watch over and over so I will not be keeping that DVD.
I am not a fan of Shakespeare. Just throwing that out there. At least not in the usual, classic sense.
I didn't realize this until just recently but did you know that Netflix has original shows?
I have Amazon Prime as well, but it seems I am hardly watching anything on Prime these days. No reason, just haven't.
So there is what I am reading and what I am watching.
I have been quite naughty lately as far as my diet goes. I am cheating a lot. I am eating stuff I should not be eating more frequently than as just a treat. I have realized I am addicted to salt. I thought I was addicted to dairy, but apparently it's the salt in the dairy. Turns out, this is why I prefer vegetables over fruits. I lean into the savory instead of the sweet. Of course, salt is supposed to be limited for the sake of blood pressure. I better be taking/testing my blood pressure often.
I'm still drinking my earl grey tea. That and Lady Grey are my favorite teas.
When life gives you melons,
You might be dyslexic.
