So, there's this huge purge happening ------in my head. LOL. No, I am cleaning out all kinds of stuff. I put a 'FREE' table out front and anything that was new or unused that I had not used (um, duh) and had no plans to use in the near future went out on that table. I even put houseplants out there.
Stuff did go away. I look around at every room in this place, especially the bedroom, and find that all I have truly accomplished so far (at least that is visible) is make a horrendous mess of things.
I have ads up on craigslist for those things that I hope to sell and I put prices on these things that are stupid-low. These are things that I find hard to part with for free. Yet, I am at the point now where I will simply donate that which has not sold.
There are some things that I will not do that with - those things are mostly collectibles. But it's happening. Stuff has left the place and therefore there is less stuff than there was before.
It just isn't showing yet.
It's like losing weight. If you lose 2 pounds, it's not noticeable. Even you won't notice that you lost 2 pounds. But if you lose 20 well then, there ya go!!
Speaking of losing weight. That's a goal, that's a wish, that's a hope, that is still not happening for me. Sheesh.
Then there's gardening. I am still learning. I need to patient with myself. I am learning, though that there are rules to gardening. The first rule is to trust nature. The second rule is to water the dirt, not the leaves, not the plant.
I am also learning about wildlife. I have some tall tales to tell about that. You will think that I have lost my wits if I tell them to you. So I will just say that I am enjoying watching the wildlife out my window.
I am not a bit pleased with all the new construction going on around me, but happily it has not deterred the wildlife from visiting my humble abode. For that I am grateful. I love the critters.
So, as far as the big purge goes, I have decided to take a break from it. I will put things back and put things out to donate and then stop for a while. It is getting to be too much.
Have you heard about Murphy’s Law?
Yes. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
How about Cole’s Law?
No.
It’s julienned cabbage in a creamy dressing.
