Modern Induction

You know you have stepped into the age of Modernism when the first thing you do when you leave the bedroom is plug in your phone to charge, plug in your headset to charge, and unplug your tablet which you had charging overnight.
When you purchase charging hubs with multiple plug-ins and yes I said that in plural, then you know. The first one is in the bedroom to charge the toothbrush, the shaver, the bug light and a phone, too.
I have become a device junkie.
I have alarms on my phone to tell me when to renew CDs and when to take pills. I have apps that tell me what to eat (and what not to eat). I have games on both the phone and the tablet. But I have super games on the headset. Not just games on that headset but travel times in VR, mixed reality adventures, plus immersive experiences.
This sounds like the resume for a 16 year old to me, not someone who is as old as myself!
Yet, here I am with remote control in hand getting ready to 'stream' videos, movies, tv series.
Isaac Asimov, Gene Roddenberry, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and even Stephen King would be proud of this old lady. They saw this coming. I thought it was fiction. tsk tsk.
They knew about all this and they put it out there. Which is a little bit scary in that they also put other stuff "out there". Now, if that other stuff becomes a reality then......YIKES.
And why would you not think that other stuff is coming?
Time for a little levity.
What’s the difference between a hippo and a zippo?
One is really heavy, and the other’s a little lighter.
