Intriguing

There is a film festival going on nearby and I saw a little bit about it on the news. One of the films to be shown is titled "If you should leave before me". It is about an older couple who suffer something devastating and in order to deal with their grief they immerse themselves in their work – which just so happens to be guiding the recently deceased to the afterlife.

This sounds like something I would like to see. That little bit of a blurb intrigued me.

I am making a list of books that I want to get for reading material. There is an FBI series with intriguing titles written by one of my favored authors. Names like; The Reaper Follows and Danger in Numbers.

I find it interesting how Titles alone can grab me and spark something that leads me towards that movie, that film, that book, that t.v. series. This tells me how important a Title can be if ever I consider writing a novel myself.

How about you? Are you pulled in just by a Title or a short blurb?

Had the Cuban Chicken with rice for dinner last night. Hadn't had that in a while. I had forgotten how much I like that meal and how easy it is to make. I recommend it. Not counting the brown rice which I cook ahead, it only takes 30 minutes to put on the table.

What I am watching currently ....... Stargate SG1 for lunch time (on Pluto). Dead Zone for dinner time (on Tubi). Supernatural for after swimming during snack time (on Netflix).

As you can see I am into the streaming.

When the fall line up starts here in October on the networks I will be watching my favorites on Paramount. (Ghosts, Matlock, Elsbeth, Georgie and Mandy, Tracker).

I am still working out the new phone. Still just trying to learn how to do stuff and what all this device does. Again, devoting time to that seems to be a low priority. I am busy playing with the new Meta Quest 3 headset and discovering all the super cool stuff inside these 'worlds'.

Geez. A person could get lost in these virtual realities. I have yet to even get with the whole AI Chat stuff. I guess I don't see the possibilities that others do.

So much to learn and to do. A person could live 200 years and never get bored.

I appreciate people's talents. They write books, I read. They create movies, I watch. They form virtual spaces, I explore. They invent software, I use it.

And not a week goes by that I don't bless the inventor of hot running water. And that's the truth.
