I put it out there....

I wanted to help. People were working without getting paid. People were not receiving their food benefits (SNAP). Prices of everything from utilities, fuel, and food have gone up considerably making it even more difficult to stretch that budget.
It has been hard enough for me to just stand by and watch certain things take place that are not okay, but to think some of our most precious people, our children, our seniors, our Veterans, might be having to choose not to have a feast this Holiday was really bothering me.
It does me no good to stew over things I cannot control or do anything about. But this was something I might be able to help with, so I put it out there.
I offered to help. I offered to purchase a Walmart Turkey Day Dinner deal for them. I offered monetary help.
I put it on Facebook, I put it here, I put it on BlueSky. I put it on 'nextdoor'. I even put it out there for family. I did not get any response. That's okay of course. In fact, it's more than okay. It means you and all the people in my little circle are doing well. That's something to be happy about and to be grateful for, and I am.
There is still time if I missed a neighbor or something. I just feel like we all need to step up and help where we can, when we can. We all need to realize that we Americans, are all Americans, all part of one nation, one country: we are one people.
I do wish I knew how to phrase that better to really make my point. You get the idea though I am sure.
I had many times when a bit of help would have been greatly appreciated in my earlier lifetime. I know how much just a little can make such a big difference.
I noticed in that Walmart deal (this because there was a thing about it on the news) that there really is less this year included than there was last year. I took note that there are things I would have to order separately to complete the whole meal. I still think it's a pretty good deal.
My closet is done. I got the boxes that were on the floor up and put away and organized. I emptied out a bunch of what was in there into the garbage. I turned around and there is a new box on my floor. LOL. Dang. It's okay though. I will slowly empty out that box by sneaking stuff out as gifts.
Now I can turn my attention to actually 'cleaning' my office. Have mercy on me.
How does NASA organize a party?
