Focus on Homemade

Okay, so this weeks menus include a lot of homemade things. The weather has changed and this means more indoor time, which means, more time for cooking and prepping.

Menus:

Cuban Chicken and Rice

Black Bean Cheeseburgers and Air Fryer Fries

Hamless Beans and Hocks with Flatbread (I do not eat ham. No pork, beef, lamb.)

Minestrone Soup and Air Fryer Biscuits

Salmon with Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Baked Potatoes

Tonight we will be having leftover Corn Fish Soup with Leftover Romaine Salad (ye olde soup&salad combo). Last night we had skinny Spaghetti with Awesome Sauce.

This being Wednesday my focus will be on doing all the "B's"; the Budget, cleaning the Bathroom, creating Badges, and paying Bills. Along with that comes the actual ordering of groceries to fulfill the menus above.

I am a reader. I love to read. I like books about mysteries, fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, etc. So I read a lot of Heather Graham who writes Ghost stories. I read alot of Nora Roberts who writes about magic and witchs. I read a lot of Robert Asprin who has a clever sense of humor and writes about fantasy places and characters. Then there's David Eddings who writes fantasy novels like the Belgariad. But, what to do with these fun and entertaining books when they have been read? Trying to sell them back gets you a quarter for a popular book that is in demand. (At least they pay shipping as I understand it). Hardly worth the effort.

I stopped taking magazines because I was forced to throw some away and that did a number on me. I understood the need and complied with that, especially knowing somewhere inside my cluttered brain that I likely would not read those particular ones a 10th time. Still, it caused me some distress. Being able to donate them would have been much better for me. So I no longer have new magazine material to read. And I do read daily.

This means it is time for me to part with many of the books I have already read and to purchase new (well, new to me) books to read.

I have to mention that read and read are actually two different words that look exactly the same but are pronounced a little bit differently and have different meanings. I really do not like that about the English language.

Well, time to go order groceries and to get breakfast. Hope you have a Wonderful Wednesday.
