Curious?

I am a very curious person. (In the sense that I wonder about stuff). So I am constantly asking questions about a number of different things.
Today I asked the question, "What is the difference between Flair Pens and Sharpie Markers"? This is not an out-of-the-blue type question. I really wanted to know because I tend to do a lot of journaling and 'marking' of boxes and labels and such.
So internally I was also asking myself, do I need to buy both? Or does one or the other do the job of both?
There is a book called "The Book of Unusual Knowledge", or something like that wherein I was able to get a satisfying answer to that question.
Short answer: Sharpies = permanent markers.
Flair pens = felt-tip writing pens.
Detailed differences:
1. Ink Type
Sharpies: Alcohol-based permanent ink. Designed to mark almost anything (plastic, metal, glass, wood, cardboard).
Flair Pens (Paper Mate Flair): Water-based ink. Not permanent; designed for writing on paper.
2. Bleeding & Ghosting
Sharpies: Bleed through most paper easily because the ink is strong and saturated.
Flair Pens: Much less bleeding. Safe for notebooks, journals, planners.
3. Tip Style
Sharpies: Come in various tip styles (ultra-fine, fine, chisel), but still function like markers.
Flair Pens: Porous felt-tip similar to a marker but finer and more controlled—more like a pen than a marker.
4. Smell
Sharpies: Strong solvent smell.
Flair Pens: Little to no smell.
5. Use Cases
Sharpies: Labeling, art, craft projects, signing items, writing on non-paper surfaces.
Flair Pens: Writing, journaling, note-taking, color-coding.
6. Longevity
Sharpies: Waterproof, fade-resistant, long-lasting marks.
Flair Pens: Not waterproof; colors can fade if exposed to water or sunlight.
Now, to me, that's the perfect answer. You won't get that from Google.

I am getting back on track after the Holiday weekend, which was a really long weekend for me ie: 5 days. Truth be told, I am feeling much better. All that food cheating, all that lazing around, put a kibosh on my happy-body-deal. So come the next Holiday, I will cheat a little but be more mindful about the whole thing knowing that the after effects can be more than I really want to end up having to suffer.
How did your Feast Day go? Share your story!
I am looking at end-of-year stuff financially and also chores wise. That's never a delight.
I did get some things accomplished so I pat myself on the back for that. And I am grateful, ever so thankful, for all the blessings I have been afforded. Even though I still have to tack up notes to remember things.
Can you believe it's already December? Another year is closing up shop on me.
I need to get started on menus for the coming week so TTFN.
