Test Results: Well, I was fully disappointed when I found out that my A1c was much higher than preferred. (For those of you who might not know what A1c is, it is the measurement of your average blood glucose levels over the last 3 months). I am working hard for many years now to try and not cross the line into Type 2 Diabetes. I am what they call 'pre-diabetic'. What that means is that I sit on the border between normal and Diabetic. Apparently, there are thousands of people who are pre-diabetic and do not know that they are. As you might guess from my blogs about food I have been all over the place in diets trying to find the right combination for myself that will work for me. A diet or lifestyle that works, is the one you will actually do.....that will also give you the results you are after.
With that less than satisfactory blood test results I received I have decided to give the full plate diet and lifestyle a sincere try. I'm happy to share it with you. It is free. Totally. The website offers training videos, a free cookbook, stacks of information, workshops, and a Facebook presence. Here is the website addy: FullPlateLiving.org
TV and Movies: Well, I have been going back and forth watching a few things (I should say binge watching). I love the series "Monk" and I definitely missed several episodes when it aired on network t.v. so there's that show on "Prime" and then my sister got me started watching (what seems to be hugely popular) a show called "Love Is Blind" on "Netflix". Addicting. Both of them. Honestly, I have never been one to watch that kind of show at all having never watched the Bachelor or the Bachelorette or any other show taken off from those or similar to those. It's not my type of genre. But here I am. LOL
Also, there is a show I never watched that is still airing on network called "Blue Bloods". I decided that since it has been on the air for years and years it must be a pretty good show and not just another cop show. I am now watching it on "Paramount" going back to Season 1, Episode 1 and very slowly catching up. Well, not really catching up but starting out.
Have a good week ya'll.
