I have a large family, but it seems we are spread out from one end of the country to the other with pockets of us dropped here and there.
For me, family isn't just people and it isn't only those born from the same parents. It's a very inclusive group with pets playing an important role.
I'm posting a picture of our two little guys (long-haired chihuahuas). One really looks more like a Papillion than a Chihuahua and I like him that way. His name is St Zorro. He got that name because when he was a puppy he had three colors going on and looked like a tiny St Bernard (so the St) and he had a black mask on- like Zorro. He also had a silhouette of Mickey Mouse on his hindquarters, but he grew out of that.
The dark colored one (actually he is gray) is named Little Jack Sparrow. He acquired that name as a puppy because of those dark eyes that looked ever so much like Captain Jack Sparrow's dark eyes, eyeliner and all. *Unfortunately we lost Jack. He lived a very long, happy life (16 years) and left us peacefully, moving on to bigger chew bones and fluffier doggy-beds.
