Weather Whiplash and Other Things

The weather is all over the place here where Iive. 80 degrees (F) in March? Yes, it did that. Then turns around and decides it should drop to near freezing at night. Right now it's only 33 degrees (F). No, really.

I tried to be smart and not stick sensitive things in the ground yet or in my bucket garden dirt. I did plant pea seeds and carrot seeds, but then, they rather like having a bit of cool before their season starts. I did plant gladiola bulbs. Bulbs have to have time in the dirt and they also like a bit of cool before their season. Glads, as I call them. are summer bloomers.

I have other bulbs I need to get in the ground but I have been lazy and working on other projects.

What projects you say? Well, there's my year-round tree. (It's an artificial xmas tree, set up on my front porch that I decorate differently for each month.) I had to order lights for this month coming up which I thought at first yellow, for Easter, then I thought pink, again for Easter, and ended up buying both. So then I had to take every other bulb out of each string of lights and replace each now empty slot with the opposite color of light bulb.

It looks so cool. I know have two strings of lights with alternating pink and yellow bulbs. I can't wait to get out there and put them on the tree.

Then there's the degrassing and deweeding of my last years buckets and containers. And the flower beds as well. There is all sorts of stuff growing up in those beds around my now trying to bloom flowers. (Hyacinth and tulips).

So that's our weather, the year-round tree, the garden stuff, and I haven't even talked about how off schedule I am and I do not even know how that happened again.

And now I come to my Oui project. YUKA, my food analyzer app rates Oui yogurt as 'good' so I have been getting those for snacks. I am becoming a fan of yogurt, believe it or not. Well, this yogurt comes in jars. I web-searched it and found that these jars are reusable, washable, sturdy, etc. They are NOT for use in the oven or the microwave. They are not thermal (something or other technical term) for high heat but they can go in the freezer. I tested that out already. However, they are approved for votive candles and tea lights and such like that.

So I have these empty, clean jars that are just the right size for certain things. I found lids for them on Amazon and ordered some. There's all kinds of lids for these. Can you believe it?!!

Anyway, they have cork ones, plastic ones, screw on ones, etc.

I also ordered some waterproof stickers. I am going to clean them good, put a waterproof sticker on each one, and a plastic lid. How fun!

Then I will have myself some pretty cool little containers for all sorts of things. Yes, I know, I do it to myself, constantly creating projects that I do not have to do, but just want to do, so I am always busy with something.

I see that as a good thing, because I am having fun and doing something I deem as useful.

I celebrate that.

Why did the chalkboard stare?

It was waiting for someone to make a move.
